La librairie de la Galerie Perrotin est à la recherche d'un.e stagiaire à temps plein pour une durée de 6 mois.
Située au sein de la galerie, la librairie présente une sélection d'ouvrages d'art contemporain ainsi que des éditions et multiples d'artistes.

Vous participerez aux différentes activités de la librairie :

- tenue de l'espace
- accueil du public, conseil et vente
- gestion du stock de livres et de multiples d'artistes
- préparation d'envois
- actualisation du site de vente en ligne (prises de vues, retouches d'images etc.)
- participation aux événements de la librairie

Profil recherché :

- Autonomie, dynamisme
- Français/Anglais parlé et écrit
- Maîtrise de l'outil informatique (Excel, suite Adobe)
- Intérêt pour les livres d'art et l'édition
- Intérêt pour l'art contemporain


Une première expérience dans les domaines du livre et/ou de la vente sera un plus.

Post Sale Registrar

Perrotin seeks a full-time Post Sale Registrar to coordinate all shipments of primarily sold works from the New York gallery. The role is integral to the gallery’s business and requires a candidate with superior communication skills, absolute discretion, highly organized with a keen eye for details, and steadfast ability to follow through on all assigned tasks. 



Comprehensive understanding of best practices for packing and crating, modes of transit, import and export compliance in the US and Internationally necessary. Knowledge of US sales tax, import duty, VAT, and insurance are required. Familiarity with US & International shippers is integral to the position. 


Must be able to handle shipments in the most cost effective and efficient means possible with the utmost attention to detail.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 


  • Provide artwork details, condition reports, packing instructions and installation instructions to shippers/client. 
  • Obtain competitive quotes to present to clients and Directors upon request. 
  • Coordinate release from the gallery and/or storage.
  • Follow up with shippers to obtain POD and upload to database.
  • Invoice clients for shipments and submit payments for vendors.
  • Ensure works and their movements are up to date, all relevant shipping documents uploaded to the database. 



Key Skills/Requirements: 


  • BA or BS required, preferably in an art field or extensive art experience.
  • Strong knowledge on Mac, google sheets, database systems. 
  • 3-5 years experience in art shipping and installation, with a firm grasp of technical aspects for all mediums of art. 


This is a Full-time position, Monday -Friday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.



Compensation:


$24.04 – $25.00 hourly

Preparator - Part time

Perrotin seeks a skilled Preparator, 3 days a week (Monday – Wednesday) with prior gallery and/or museum experience. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle objects properly while exercising thoughtfulness, discretion, and problem solving under the supervision of the Registrar team and Head Preparator. 



Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 


-Ensuring safe and proper handling, installation and packing of artwork in all media.

-Releasing artwork to shippers. 

-Maintaining the gallery exhibition spaces and storage areas, including but not limited to: repairing, preparing, painting, and lighting galleries

-Installation and deinstallation of exhibitions and art fairs, at the gallery and off-site. 

-Local deliveries and collections. 



Key Skills/Experience: 


-General understanding of carpentry and electrical work, hardware, and tools

-Rigging experience and familiarity with relevant equipment.

-Organized, detail-oriented, industrious, self-motivated, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

-Ability to handle multiple projects in a time-sensitive manner.

-At least three years of prior Preparator experience is required.



Qualifications include:


-Must be comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced environment and on tight deadlines.

-Most importantly we are looking for someone who could utilize time wisely and efficiently complete assignments while maintaining quality of work and paying attention to detail.



Salary Range:

Press & Communications Coordinator

Perrotin seeks a full-time, New York-based Press & Communications Coordinator to support Perrotin’s public outreach efforts, including media relations, as well as email and digital communications.


The candidate must have three years of press/PR experience, preferably within arts communication, with a thorough working knowledge of its key media and press outlets. The ideal candidate will be able to tackle a variety of projects with elegance and creativity while working across our global network of galleries, artists, and team members. The candidate will report to the Communications Manager in New York and the Director of Communications in Paris.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create and execute media plans for gallery exhibitions and special projects, building new audiences and deepening engagement

- Tracking outreach to journalists, compose and distribute press recaps

- Fulfill external press requests

- Write press releases and relevant communications on the gallery’s artists and exhibitions

- Assist with press previews for in-house exhibitions and other select events

- Update the rolodex of press contacts


QUALIFICATIONS

- Organizational and project management skills

- Excellent writing abilities and strong copyediting skills (Chicago Manuel Style)

- Have an understanding of and contacts in the contemporary art and media landscape

- Attention to detail and ability to respond in a timely manner

- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for our artists


REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree in related field

- 3 years of workplace experience minimum, relating to arts communications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, as well as Adobe InDesign

- Basic understanding of social media tools

- Excels in collaborative working environment.


This is a Full-time position, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am - 6 pm.

The candidate will occasionally need to work additional hours.


COMPENSATION

$60,000-68,000 annually

Photo Editor

Perrotin New York seeks a motivated, detail oriented and productive Intern with a positive attitude for a Photo Editing position to support and assist the New York Gallery Photo Department. Candidate must have a minimum of one year of experience in Photo Editing.



Responsibilities Include:


- Photo editing
