La galerie Perrotin recherche un régisseur  en charge de l’organisation des transports et des opérations en France et à l’ internationale pour nos projets, expositions et ventes. Nous cherchons une personne expérimentée dans l’organisation des transports d’ oeuvres d’ art à l’ international, avec un grand sens du service et orientée résultat.
 
Missions :
 
Transport et douane
Traitement efficient des demandes
Organisation de transport simple et/ou groupage à l’international ( import/export)
Organisation de  transport France
Anticipation et optimisation des plannings transports
Demande de devis, négociation et synthèse comparative
Définition et optimisation des besoins ( emballage, moyens humains et technique)
Suivi du flux des œuvres et veiller en permanence à la bonne localisation des œuvres
Demande de couverture assurance et gestion de sinistre
Coordination et communication pour le bon déroulement des opérations physiques
Constat d' état
Communication étroite sur l’avancement des missions auprès des différents demandeurs.
Gestion douanière import / export / temporaire / beaux - art / Autres
Appliquer et veiller aux respects des procédures en place
Demande de validation des dépenses et point régulier auprès de votre responsable
Optimisation des achats transport et saisies des dépenses
 
 
Profil :
Nous cherchons une personne idéalement expérimentée en transport international ( spécialisation : art) et en douane
Souhaitant une évolution de carrière en régie de galerie 
 
Formation :  Transport et logistique international  / Commerce international / Ecole de commerce
 
Rigoureux(se), sens de l’initiative et des priorités
Force de négociation et de résolution de problème
Réactivité et rapidité d’exécution
Capacité à travailler en flux tendu, bonne résistance au stress
Bonne condition physique
 
Parle et écrit couramment anglais

Stagiaire - Assistant de régie ( H/F)

STAGE

Période : pour minimum 3 mois à temps plein

Nous cherchons un(e) stagiaire disponible à temps complet et pour une durée d'au moins trois mois. Vous assistez les régisseurs dans les différentes missions de régie au sein de la galerie :

- Gestion matérielle des œuvres d’art (manutentions, présentation, emballage, accrochage etc…)
- Aide au Montage des shows - room, expositions et stands
- Intendance des locaux
- Préparation des transports
- Entretien du matériel

Hong Kong

Registrar

Perrotin Hong Kong is looking for a Registrar with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in fine art logistics to join their team.


The Role
 
Reporting to the Hong Kong gallery's Senior Registrar, the Registrar shall be part of a team of three registrars responsible for managing international shipping, domestic transportation, handling and inventory documentation of works of art for exhibitions, art fairs, projects, movement of inventory, and client requirements.

The Registrar shall liaise with and coordinate between the Hong Kong team, Perrotin’s global team, artists/artist studios, consignees, logistics companies, insurers and other relevant external parties such as art fair organisers and exhibition venues to ensure professional, safe and timely movement and material management of works of art.


Responsibilities
 
•    Prepare, monitor and manage shipping schedules and budgets;

•    Prepare and manage shipping lists, instructions and relevant documentation in accordance with the requirements of exhibition/art fair/project schedules and of international shipping, customs and tax regulations;

•    Coordinate, monitor and manage all tasks and matters related to insurance, condition inspection and reporting, packing/unpacking, crating/uncrating, entry/release, collection/delivery, installation/de-installation, and storage of works of art;

•    Conduct condition checks and prepare and file condition reports;

•    Update and maintain the gallery’s inventory database concerning location, transit, insurance, material condition and other relevant details about works of art;

•    Work closely with appointed insurers and logistics companies to ensure a professional standard of service for safeguarding the handling and transportation of works of art;

•    Prepare summaries on cost estimates related to shipping and insurance for both internal and external review and approval;

•    Monitor and record relevant expenses;

•    Ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned.


Requirements

•    A Diploma (minimum) or Bachelor’s Degree;

•    Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in fine art logistics with international art exhibitions organisations (gallery, auction house or museum) or relevant employers such as fine art shipping companies;

•    Proven experience in and knowledge of international art shipping processes and procedures, and international customs and tax regulations;

•    Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese (a third language such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese or French would be an asset);

•    Highly organised and attentive-to-detail multi-tasker with excellent coordination and time management skills;

•    Professional work ethic and positive disposition;

•    Excellent communication and inter-personal skills (experience in customer service would be an asset);

•    Ability to thrive in a fast-pace work environment that is multicultural and spans multiple time zones;

•    Skilled in Microsoft Office and Mac operating system;

•    Right to reside in Hong Kong.

Events Coordinator (PR team)

Perrotin New York is looking for a personable, proactive and organized Events coordinator to manage internal and external events, working with the PR department. Candidate must be able to efficiently multi-task while working in a busy environment. Attention to detail, excellent communication and problem solving skills are required to excel in this position.

 

- Coordinate the New York gallery’s events for each exhibition (every 6 weeks : dinner and/or cocktail and/or after party…)

- Work closely with directors to propose and develop unique events

- Coordinate outside events (for exhibitions outside the gallery, art fairs, special events…)

- Manage invitation sending and guest lists for these events

- Work closely with PR team and graphic designer for invitations, guest lists and communication around the events

- Propose and plan extra programming such as book launchs, talks, previews, private visits, other private events

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

- Bachelors’ Degree in a related field

- Prior work in event planning

- Knowledge of contemporary art and gallery represented artists

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Self starter with the ability to multi-task and problem solve

Registrar

Perrotin is seeking a full-time Registrar for its New York Location. Candidate would be an integral part of a full-time operations staff consisting of a head registrar, and assistant registrar, and three art handlers. Candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in operations in an international commercial art gallery, auction house or art shipping company.


Responsibilities include: 

- Excellent knowledge of international taxation, insurance, local and international customs procedures 

- Oversee and arrange international and domestic transport of sold artwork; gathering respective quotations 

- Oversee and arrange transportation of artworks for art fairs and update our inventory systems accordingly 

- Oversee and coordinate local transportation of artwork between external storage and gallery 

- Ensure that all artwork is labeled appropriately, and that the inventory system is updated accurately 

- Oversee Condition reports of artworks 

- Maintain a database of customs paperwork

Press & Communications

Perrotin New York is currently seeking a full-time employee as head of Press and Communications. The candidate must have press/PR experience, preferably within arts communication, with a thorough working knowledge of its key media and press outlets. The candidate will refer to the Directors of the New York gallery and the Director of Communications based in Paris, liaising with the gallery's teams in New York, Paris and Asia.


Duties & Responsibilities: 

- Create and execute media plans for gallery exhibitions and special projects

- Write press releases and relevant texts on the gallery’s artists and exhibitions

- Organize press previews for in-house exhibitions and other select events 

- Fulfill external press requests 

- Compose and distribute press recaps

- Maintain the gallery’s press archives

- Scan, format, file, and distribute press clips, including print, audio, etc. 

- Set up and comb through artist and gallery Google alerts

- Update and organize the rolodex of press contacts

- Connect with and work well with press teams at other institutions, and with freelance PR who may be hired by the gallery on specific projects


Qualifications: 

- The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be proactive, and outgoing

- Relational, editorial, and synthesis skills

- Very good written and oral expression

- Mastery of the English language is a must. A second language would be appreciated

- Knowledge of and interest in contemporary art, its network, and press media is key

Front Desk Gallery Assistant

Perrotin New York is looking for a personable and organized Front Desk Gallery Assistant to manage the front desk and perform various office-related administrative tasks. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm with additional hours as needed. Candidate must be able to efficiently multi-task while working in a busy front-desk environment. Attention to detail, excellent communication and problem solving skills are required to excel in this position.
 
- Greet incoming visitors, communicate exhibition information, and answer questions about artwork and programming
- Answer and redirect phone calls to staff and take messages.
- Oversee daily receipt and sending of packages with couriers, FedEx, UPS and USPS
- Check in gallery appointments and liaise with art delivery personnel and other vendors
- Open and lock up front desk area / gates daily, ensure gallery tidiness 
- Distribute mail and packages throughout gallery
- Order and restock gallery-wide office supplies and weekly kitchen delivery
- Assist with gallery openings and special events
- Design and print information leaflets for exhibitions
- Organize staff birthday celebrations and monthly staff lunch
- Assist with travel arrangements and accommodations for staff and artists as needed
- Assist Directors with various tasks as needed
