Interview of Lionel Estève on the occasion of his solo exhibition "Chemical Landscape" at Perrotin Paris (September 7 - September 21, 2019).

For his new show at Perrotin, the French Belgium-based artist Lionel Estève presents a series of works that utilize scrap material, plastic beads, glitter, plexiglass, sand, and sometimes glass. These materials become layers of buried sediment, or “chemical landscapes.” This fall, the artist will also take part in a group show at Centre Pompidou.
