Cette photographie documente une performance d’Iván Argote. Entre 2012 et 2013, il a couvert de panchos aux motifs amérindiens des statues de figures coloniales, situées en Espagne, en Colombie et aux Etats Unis ; son intervention visait à souligner la prééminence d’un récit idéologique dominant, qui reste majoritairement incontesté dans la sphère publique, en créant une proposition de monument métis.
