The series 3 ou 4 Soleils (2023) represents different states of the sun throughout the day. It recalls the importance of light in the artist's work. Sometimes sparkling, almost fluorescent, sometimes discreet, the overlapping tulles (sometimes in layers of eight or ten) become temporal markers where chromatic variations measure the passage of time. Lionel Estève cuts and sews them to create circles and an illusion of depth.
