a simple diptych: two paintings hung very close together. a canvas from before 1973 is repainted the same color as the wall. to its right, a canvas also from before 1973, de-painted. before repainting or de-painting them, the original paintings have been photographed in color as well as in black and white. the photographs will not be shown, but will be kept available for consultation.

de-finition/method. "full-length self-portrait" 2011, paint on canvas, 168 x 110 cm + 33 x 22 cm / 66 1/4 x 43 1/4 inches+ 13 x 8 3/4 inches. de-finition/méthod : an oval canvas 168 x 110 cm (66 1/4 x 43 1/4 inches) is placed 50 cm (19 3/4 inches) in front of the wall. the canvas is non-painted. it is connected to the wall by a fine metal wire attached to its upper half. it is also attached to the floor.
a second oval canvas, 33 x 22 cm (13 x 8 3/4 inches), is hung by its left side to the wall 60 cm (23 1/2 inches) from the floor, and is painted the same color as the wall.
the large canvas is shown face-out as long as the artist is alive, and will be turned to face the wall when he dies.
