The Estate of Gérard Schneider
By the 1970s, Schneider had already achieved the unity of color and form he had passionately pursued. Using acrylics, he created ever simpler shapes that followed the movement of the brush, using brighter and warmer colors. "Opus 28 N" is representative of this period, lacking the impulsiveness of the 1950s but radiating the serenity of an artist who has mastered the means of expression he sought throughout his life.
