The nail at the center of this framed blank canvas gives the impression that whoever was hanging it missed their mark and nailed it at the center instead of centering it on the wall. The artwork is made of marble, a material that evokes the virtuosity of Italian Baroque sculptures, particularly in the delicate folds of fabric meticulously carved into the stone.
