To mark the Bach Year in 2025, Gregor Hildebrandt transformed the facade of LUDWIG BECK into a stage for art, with an installation of records and cassettes inspired by the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
The installation consists of three black and white record columns, arranged rhythmically according to the keyboard, and a cassette display case with a portrait of Glenn Gould as a homage to Bach. Inspired by the symbolic number three, Hildebrandt transforms sound carriers into checkerboard patterns and columnar elements – formalistic, virtuosic, and full of hidden details that awaken curiosity about the concealed music.
