A road, delineated by a bright, straight yellow line directs the gaze towards an area in the distance that has been wiped away with a cloth. This painting is based on an image the artist took from a car while crossing the Andes between Chile and Argentina. Beneath the layers of blue another image begins to appear: a familiar place and a mental image that is fading but still present in Pooley's memory.
