Elizabeth GLAESSNER

Puisant dans l’histoire de l’art, la mythologie, la mémoire et la culture pop, les peintures oniriques d’Elizabeth Glaessner évoquent un univers surréaliste dépourvu de frontières conventionnelles. Dans ce royaume imaginaire, des figures fluides, flottantes, insaisissables peuplent des paysages amorphes où la personne comme l’environnement sont dans un état apparemment constant de métamorphoses. Glaessner débute chaque œuvre de manière intuitive, en couchant de l’huile sur des pigments coulés, permettant à la peinture d’interrompre la narration pour laisser place au subconscient. Inspirée par des peintres symbolistes tels qu’Edvard Munch, Glaessner révèle un monde psychologique grâce à l’utilisation singulière de sa palette et sa technique inhérente à son art. Par l'aspect et le cheminement de sa pratique, ses peintures agissent comme des passerelles vers des émotions inexploitées, déclenchant notre inconscient primordial, libéré du fardeau des frontières sociétales et des codes moraux.
