The exhibition coincides with the presentation of Exquisite Pain at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, twenty years after the artist’s first exhibition in the museum.Parallel to these exhibitions, Sophie Calle presents the series Parce que (Because) at Gallery Koyanagi and Voir la mer, featured on 4 electronic billboards overlooking the iconic Shibuya crossing. The installation is sponsored by BizReach, a leading HR tech company that embraces the power of design in business and actively supports creators. The video is produced by NION, a film, content and arts production positioned to enliven the industry, led by producer Takayuki Moriya.
