The celebration of theft as an alternative to the tragedy of work is taken to the point where the artist conceives a monument to criminal action.
In this work the safe broken open becomes a readymade not so much by the artist's gesture in selecting a common object as by the aura that the criminal act has imprinted on it.
The missing loot referred to in the title is the true core of energy on the work, which is organized around an absence caused by a violent gesture whose traces are almost like a signature placed on the work of art.

La célébration du vol en tant qu’alternative d’échec du travail est légitimée du moment où l’artiste conçoit un monument à l’action criminelle.
Dans cette œuvre, le coffre-fort endommagé et ouvert devient ready-made, non pas parce qu’il est le choix très respecté de l’artiste mais grâce à l’aura que l’acte criminel a laissé sur lui.
Le butin manquant, évoqué dans le titre, est le vrai centre d’énergie de l’œuvre ; elle-même organisée autour d’une absence causée par un geste violent dont les traces ressemblent étrangement à une signature.
